#RealtyNewsRoundUp: 15 More Cities To Have Metro Network Soon, Says Puri

India already has a 515-km functional network of Metro tracks in various cities, and 15 more will soon have over 660 km of tracks for rapid urban transportation, Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri has said. According to a statement released by the housing and urban affairs minister, state governments and union territories have been advised to prepare and submit the Detailed Project Report in line with the provisions in the Metro Rail Policy 2017.

The much-awaited engineless Train 18 will roll out of Chennai's Integral Coach Factory. Ten of the 12 most-polluted cities in the country are in Uttar Pradesh as air quality in these cities has been termed ‘severe’ or ‘very poor’, data available with the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) show. Ghaziabad, Kanpur, Greater Noida, Baghpat, Noida, Hapur, Bulanshahr, Muzzafarnagar, Agra and Lucknow are the worst-affected cities, data show. Among the 12 most-affected cities is national capital Delhi (7) and Gurgaon (3).
