#RealtyNewsRoundup: 95% Realtors In 12 States Do Not Have PAN, Says CAG

A performance audit report by the Comptroller Auditor General (CAG) has revealed that nearly 95 per cent of the 54,500 real estate developers across 12 states in India do not have a PAN (permanent account number). According to the report tabled in Parliament, over 20,800 registered developers in West Bengal do not have a PAN, followed by over 7,800 developers in Uttar Pradesh.

The City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO) will announce the result for its 2019 lottery on February 14. Nearly 1,100 flats, which remained unsold in the 2018 scheme results of which were announced in October last year, were up for sale under this scheme. These apartments are located in Kharghar, Ghansoli, Taloja, Galamboli and Dronagiri.

The cooperative housing societies built on government land in Mumbai’s suburbs have been given a week’s notice to issue no-objection certificate for the sale or transfer of flats within seven days of date of application. This move has come after many complaints were received by the suburban collection, stating that the heads of such societies were not providing NOCs for sale.

The Noida Authority now plans to extend its door-to-door garbage collection service to 12 more sectors in the city, starting February 16. The service, which was launched in January, will now be provided to the industrial areas of sectors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 16A.
