In the wake of an order by the Supreme Court on May 17 directing Amrapali Group to complete and deliver the pending projects on a water-tight schedule, the builder has said that the handover process would take about 45 days. The pending projects have been divided into four baskets for completion.

The suburban Mumbai collector’s office has decided to scrap the 7/12 extract, a crucial document which lists information like the name of a plot’s owner, its area and its cultivator, etc. Earlier, the Maharashtra government had ordered plan to scrap 7/12 extracts in all urban areas of state, where every plot now has a city survey number.

The Gautam Budh Nagar District Administration has started the process for acquiring land for the Jewar Airport. The hearings are being conducted in Mukimpur Shivara and Ramnagar villages. In the first phase, the administration needs to acquire 1,441 hectares from eight villages along the Yamuna Expressway.

Nearly 200 farmers and their families are on a sit-in, demanding adequate compensation for their land in Surajpur near Greater Noida. The farmers’ demands include 64.7 per cent additional compensation for their farmland and 10 per cent additional compensation for residential plots as promised by the Uttar Pradesh government.
