The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagar Palike is planning to use unmanned aerial systems, popularly known as drones to map urban properties and property taxes. The civic body believes property tax collections will improve with the help of drones, an idea which was mooted by the Urban Development Department and the Karnataka Knowledge Commission. Read more
Indian Hotels Company, which runs the Taj Group of Hotels, has announced that the company is planning to sell Taj Boston Hotel for a base price of Rs 836.09 crore. Indian Hotels said in a BSE filing that the wholly-owned subsidiary United Overseas Holding's (UOH) was planning to pursue the option of divestment of the Taj Boston Hotels by either sale or disposal of the LLC interests in IHMS (Boston) LLC. According to a real estate advisory, Navi Mumbai is emerging as the preferred destination for home buyers in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR).
