New Delhi’s Central Business District (CBD) Connaught Place (CP) is the world’s 10th most expensive office location with the average occupancy cost at $142 per square foot (psf), says a report that compares annual occupancy costs in 72 supermarkets across the world. India’s financial capital Mumbai has been ranked 23rd in the list with the annual occupancy cost of $96 psf. Also included in the list are India’s information capital Bengaluru (57th position) and Millennium City Gurgaon (61st spot).

The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to auction 400 properties that include plots as well as housing units online from December 20, say media reports. People from across the country would be able to buy property in Ghaziabad when the sale process goes online.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) is likely to launch its latest housing scheme in February next year. The number of flats of sale would be much less than earlier expected. Of the 20,000 flats that the DDA is likely to offer, most would be one-bedroom flats meant for the applicants from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) category.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has confiscated 10 units from across the city for non-payment of the property tax dues. From November 26, special drives are being conducted by the PMC squads for collection of property tax dues. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation assessment department has also set up a crack team, for conducting special drives against major property tax defaulters across the city.
