#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Engineers In Maharashtra Told To Give Quarterly Review Of Project Construction Quality

The Maharashtra real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) has issued a circular making it mandatory for the engineers of a project to submit quarterly review of the construction quality. The authority has also finalised the standard operating procedure to deal with complaints related to the non-registered projects. There will be a separate ‘non-registration’ tab on the website where the complaints against such projects can be made.

Construction giant Shapoorji Pallonji and Company is among the 11 firms penalised by the Gautam Buddh Nagar Administration for violating the National Green Tribunal's (NGT's) orders on pollution. The NGT had earlier this month ordered temporary ban on construction activities in the Delhi-National Capital Region in the wake of alarming air pollution situation.

Under the government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the National Housing Bank (NHB) has so far provided an interest subsidy of Rs 3,240 crore to more than 143,000 households. The NHB implements the government’s credit-linked subsidy scheme.

The Mumbai Bench of the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) has admitted and initiated insolvency proceedings against Mumbai-based Ariisto Developers after one of the lenders to the company approached the tribunal, say media reports citing sources. The Bench has appointed an interim resolution professional to manage the company while directing other banks to file their claims against the builder by December first week.
