#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Jaypee Lenders, Homebuyers Approve Evaluation Criteria For Selecting Bidder
Lenders and homebuyers of Jaypee Infratech have approved evaluation criteria for selection of bidders for taking over the bankruptcy-bound realtor. State-owned NBCC, Kotak Investment, Singapore-based Cube Highways and Suraksha Group have been shortlisted as bidders for buying the company.
Meanwhile, the Haryana State Pollution Control Board (HSPCB) has issued show-cause notices and a penalty of Rs 5.5 lakh each to two prominent real estate developers — M3M India and Supertech — for allegedly defying a construction ban imposed across the national capital region recently.

The Maharashtra Cabinet has approved the Rs 949-crore Kasarvadavali-Gaikmukh Metro route (Metro-4A), which will cut the travel time between south Mumbai and neighbouring Thane. Part of the 32-km Wadala-Ghatkopar-Mulund-Thane Kasarvadavali corridor, the 2.7-km extension will ensure that the entire Ghodbunder Road in Thane is connected by the Metro network.
Meanwhile, the stretch between Lajpat Nagar and Mayur Vihar Pocket-1 on the Delhi Metro’s Pink Line will open for public on December 31.

Five people, including four senior citizens, were killed and two others injured in a major fire that broke out in a high-rise residential building in Mumbai’s Tilak Nagar. The blaze started on the 10th floor of the building, Sargam Society (G+16), located near Ganesh Garden in Tilak Nagar.
In another such mishap, fire broke out in a Kolkata Metro train during rush hour, causing a stampede-like situation and leaving at least 16 passengers injured.

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) says it has already collected Rs 2,159 crore through property taxes collection till now. The civic body has set a target to collect close to Rs 3,000 crore by the end of financial year.
