The Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has launched a drive against illegal constructions. The development body has bulldozed four buildings and has sealed over a dozen other unauthorised buildings in areas such as Gomtinagar, Hussainganj, Chowk and old area, Sitapur Road and Aliganj.
Meanwhile, the Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority has also intensified the demolition drive of illegal buildings in the areas under its jurisdiction. The authority has listed 1,650 structures that cannot be regularised and will be brought down in all likelihood.
Come August 1 and all developers in Maharashtra will have to mention the registration numbers provided by the state Real Estate Regulatory Authority in their advertisements. Maharashtra's version of the Real Estate (Regulation & Development) Act, 2016, has made it compulsory for developers to give information about their projects from May 1.
The Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation will launch the fourth BRTS (Bus Rapid Transit System) corridor, between Kalewadi Phata and Dehu Alandi Road, in November. The civic body will also host the Asia conference on BRTS in the same month. The launch of BRTS on Kalewadi Phata-Dehu Alandi Road was earlier planned for December, but due to the Asia conference, directives have been given to complete it by October-end.
The Noida Authority will appoint a private agency to monitor housing projects, say media reports. The authority invited an expression of interest to appoint a private agency to monitor the progress of ongoing and delayed projects. The aim is to ensure developers stick to the timeline they have promised for delivering projects in the region.
