The Maharashtra Cabinet has given nod to form the state housing development corporation to fast-track of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. The government has aim to build five lakh houses for different income groups through the corporation. The term of the corporation will be till the year 2022 or till the target is achieved.

Lenders of bankruptcy-bound Jaypee Infratech have rejected a proposal to appoint new resolution professional as only 57.2 per cent voted in favour as against the required 66 per cent. The Committee of Creditors (CoC) of Jaypee Infratech met on October 17 to vote on various proposals. The committee has also rejected proposal to accept resignation of seven independent directors.

After many missed deadlines, Delhi’s Signature Bridge will finally be opened for public on October 31. However, Delhiites will have to wait at least till next January to enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the top of the bridge. The bridge will be the first asymmetrical cable-stayed bridge in the country, which will be 675-m long and 35.2-m wide.
