#RealtyNewsRoundup: Stamp Duty, Registration Charges Waived For Women Buyers In Jharkhand
The Jharkhand state government has decided to waive registry charges and stamp duty on property registered in the name of women. The meeting, which was presided over by Chief Minister Raghubar Das, also decided to digitise all the maps of state. Meanwhile, the Land and Revenue Department informed the meeting that online registry system had become fully functional across the state.

The Bombay High Court refused to lift its year-old ban on new constructions in the city. The court had put an embargo on new construction projects, excluding redevelopment and slum rehabilitation schemes, after the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation failed to comply with orders that required it to make its dumping grounds compliant with pollution norms.
The Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) will not be able to penalise developers for delays on their ongoing projects before May 1, 2017. Several states have clarified that the authority can only penalise projects after they get registered and the developers default on the set timeline.
Meanwhile, developers in Gurgaon have urged the Haryana government to come up with an online registration system for real estate projects under the RERA.
The Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given its approval to the National Steel Policy, 2017. The policy envisages domestically meeting the entire demand of high-grade steel and increasing domestic availability of washed coking coal. The Cabinet also approved a policy for use of domestic steel products in government organisations.
