#RealtyNewsRoundUp: Telangana To Link Land Ownership Passbooks To Aadhaar
Ahead of the distribution of "pattadar" (land ownership) passbooks to owners from March 11, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has said that they would have to be linked to their Aadhaar numbers, failing which the lands would be considered benami. He said that farmers, who had been assigned lands, should also be given these passbooks like other farmers. The Telangana government is going to introduce a system similar to banks to administer land records. It added that it was a first for any state in the country.

The urban development department has extended the deadline for ongoing projects to register with the Goa Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) by another month. The state authority appears to be struggling to process the registrations that have come in. So far, only four projects and six real estate agents have been able to obtain registration under the Goa RERA.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has informed the Supreme Court that the ongoing construction of the 135-km Eastern Peripheral Expressway, which would help decongest traffic, would be completed by March this year. Similarly, the Haryana government told the court that the work related to the 135-km Western Peripheral Expressway, which connects Kundli to Palwal via Manesar in Haryana, was expected to be completed by June this year. The Eastern Peripheral Expressway envisages signal-free connectivity between Ghaziabad, Faridabad, Gautam Budh Nagar (Greater Noida) and Palwal.

The sixth edition of Hyderabad Property Show will begin at the Hitex Exhibition Center in the city from March 2. The three-day property show would bring together 120 developers from across the city. The event will showcase over 15,000 projects.
