#RealtyNewsRoundup: Thane Set To Get A Metro Link As Maha Cabinet Approves Project
The Maharashtra Cabinet on March 5 cleared a plan to build a 29-kilometre Metro line in Thane. To be built at an estimated cost of Rs 13,095 crore, the Thane Metro project is likely to be completed in four years. Among other proposals that the state Cabinet approved on Tuesday is allowing conversion of leasehold plots into freehold plots and approval to a special purpose vehicle to build an international airport at Purandar in Pune.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will flag off a 13.5-kilometre stretch of the Nagpur Metro on March 7 through video-conferencing. The route, comprising five stations from Khapri to Sitabuldi, will be opened for passengers on March 8. The Nagpur Metro network, work on which started in June, 2015, consists of two corridors with a total length of 38 km.
The PM is also likely to inaugurate the 6.6-km Noida City Centre-Noida Electronic City section, an extension of the Delhi Metro's Blue Line on March 8.

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) has decided to offer about 7,500 more flats in its housing scheme for this year that is likely to be launched on March 8. This means now 18,000 flats will be up for sale, as against 10,370 announced by the DDA earlier. Located at Narela, the new flats are meant for buyers from the economically weaker section and middle-income group category.
