Uttar Pradesh has topped the list in providing housing to the rural poor under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana by scoring more than double the national average. Against the national average of 34 per cent, UP has scored 85 per cent in constructing houses under the national scheme during 2017-18.

The Haryana government will regularise 15 colonies falling under Gurgaon Municipal Corporation. The move is likely to benefit hundreds of people who have bought plots in these 15 colonies. The 15 colonies that will see regularisation are Cancon Enclave Part - I and II, Bheem Colony, Harinagar Extension Part I and II, Shri Ram Colony, Devi Lal Extension, New Jyoti Park, Patel Nagar Extension, Shiv Nagar, Vikas Nagar, area in proximity to Tikri Village, Ghasola Village, Naherpur Rupa Village, area in proximity to Jhadsa village Extension, Surat Nagar Phase-I Extension and area in proximity to village Harsaru.

Buildings in Mumbai that are close to the seafront which have been declared as old and dilapidated after January 2011 will now be able to avail of transfer of development rights (TDR) as well as fungible floor space index (FSI) for redevelopment. This means that such buildings will be entitled to more construction rights during redevelopment. Currently, construction rights for dilapidated buildings that fall under the Coastal Regulation Zone-II (CRZ-II) are severely restricted.
