Seeking Affordable homes in Pune? Here you are!
Known as the cultural capital of Maharashtra, Pune is fast becoming a preferred town for professionals from all over India. With international players in the information technology sector setting up offices here, young professionals are making a beeline to the city. As the demand for residential projects in Pune is increasing daily, property prices, too, have becoming exorbitant. According to PropTiger Data labs figures, property prices soared to Rs 5,701 per sqft in August this year from Rs 3,589 per sqft in August 2010. However, this beautiful city has something for each price range.
Here is our pick of some pocket-friendly options:
Wagholi
Close to the IT centre Kharadi, Wagholi could be an attractive option for many. Residential projects in Wagholi offer affordable homes ranging between Rs 20-40 lakh for a 700-1000 sq ft flat.
Hadapsar
About 12 km from the main city, Hadapsar has a strategic location advantage. The Highway makes commuting from here easy, while the proximity to Magarpatta, another IT hub, is an added advantage. Hadapsar is only five km from here. You can easily find 1BHK and 2BHK flats in Hadapsar of 600-1000 sq ft in an affordable budget of Rs 20-40 lakh.
Dhanori
Located in Pune's northeast, Dhanori is counted among one of the best areas to live. If the high price tags in areas such as Koregaon Park, Viman Nagar or Kalyani Nagar have made you nervous, Dhanori could be a solution. While its proximity to the posh areas is an added advantage, residential projects are affordable at Rs 4,350-5,350 per sq ft. Even if you choose to go for a premium project, the budget will not exceed Rs 6,400- 11,450 per sq ft.
Charoli
With the demand for space surpassing the supply, builders are eyeing city outskirts for affordable homes. One such find is Charoli, near the city airport. Its proximity to areas such as Kalyani Nagar, Vishrantwadi, Yerwada and Viman Nagar makes it an attractive residential area for the IT professionals. With the railway station only 11 km from here, Charoli's connectivity to other regions is also good. Currently, property prices here range from Rs 3,200 to Rs 3,500 per sq ft. However, its skyline is set to change in the near future, with a plan of a 400-acre township project already underway.
