Kamarpukrur is a village in Arambagh subdivision under the Hooghly district. It is the Goghat II community development block’s headquarters. The area is a religious site, known to be the birthplace of spiritual leader Ramakrishna Paramhansa. The area is surrounded by other villages such as Joyrambati and Bhursubo. The area is 30 miles from Tarakeshwar and 95.8 kilometres from Kolkata. The state capital can be reached through the Ahilyabai Holkar Road.
