Some of the prominent neighbouring localities to Bandra West are West (2.5 Km), Mahim (3 Km), Golibar (3.8 Km) and Bandra East (4 Km).


The emergence of the Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) has changed the face of this area and thereby creating a strong demand for residential apartments. Moreover many Bollywood actors also live around this area and are also responsible for the drive.


Connectivity


The locality offers good connectivity to other parts of the city and is relatively well connected to most of the major business centers. The region is served by a large network of BEST buses which connect it to almost all major areas. Bandra is well-connected to rest of Mumbai by both Central & Harbour Railways as well as various roads. The Bandra railway station is located on the Western line of Suburban Railway and only 1.2 km away from Bandra West via Hill Road. Also, the newly built terminus called Bandra Terminus in Bandra (E) is in close proximity to Bandra West from where trains bound for northern and western India. The Bandra- Sealink has added that extra convenience to this location by reducing the travel time and connecting Bandra West with Worli.

Bandra provides a plethora of options when it comes to shopping. From street- side shopping at Linking Road and Hill road where you can get an entire new wardrobe, to high-end stores on Khar-Bandra Linking road where you can find the best of brands. There are also some export-surplus shops in the by-lanes of Hill Road and on Bandra reclamation where you can buy branded clothes.


One of Mumbai’s largest malls – Phoenix Market City, is also located in Kurla, which is an adjoining area to Bandra.

Bandra West houses many good schools like St Pauls Convent, St Pauls Institute of Communication Education, The Tree House, Avm School, Euro Kids, Duruelo Convent School, St Theresa's High School and St Theresa's High School. Pali Hospital and Nursing Home, Holy Family Hospital and Elite Hospital are few hospitals located in the area.
