Popularly known as the twin city of Hyderabad, Secunderabad is located in Telangana. Founded in 1806, the city is named after Sikandar Jah, the third Nizam of Asaf Jahi dynasty. Hussain Sagar Lake divides the city from Hyderabad. The city was ruled by different dynasties. Secunderabad Junction is one of the main railway junctions of the south. Secundreabd houses many reputed hospitals, educational institutions and bank branches. There are also many film theatres, shopping malls, art galleries and other recreational zones in the city.
