A city and municipal council in Pune district, Jejuri lies about 47 kms south east of Pune. It is one of the popular pilgrimage centres of Maharashtra and is famous for the temple dedicated to Lord Khandoba. This temple is built on a small plateau called Kadepathar which is about 400 feet high and is considered to be very holy among the Maharashtrians. This locality is also popularly known as Khandobachi Jejuri or Sonyachi Jejuri.

Jejuri is located on the Pune-Baramati Road and is well connected by rail and road. Various trains like Maharashtra Express, LTT Express, Sahyadri Express, Koyna Express etc. run daily from Pune to Jejuri. Buses from Pune heading towards Baramati, Saswad, Phaltan connects Jejuri. A 41 kms stretch of Pune-Pandharpur road between Hadapsar and Jejuri is proposed to be converted into a 4 lane setup which would make the place even more accessible. At a distance of 48 kms is the Pune railway station and at 51 kms lies the Pune airport.
