Pimple Saudagar is situated in the north western corridor of Pune and is a part of the Municipal Corporation limit. The IT Park is located 6 kilometres from Pimple Saudagar, University is 8 kilometres while the Railway Station is 15 kilometres away. This locality is centrally situated between Pimpri and Aundh. Other areas located nearby are Pimple Nilakh, Dapodi, Kasarwadi, Wakad, Talawade IT Park and commercial centres of Municipal Corporation and MIDC. Till the late nineties, Pimple Saudagar was an undeveloped village and was popularly known as U ( States of Pimple) situated on the bank of Pavana River. PCMC has also planned the construction of a sports complex for the residents of Pimple Saudagar.

Connectivity

Pimple Saudagar is situated close to the old Pune-Mumbai expressway (NH 4). The newly developed BRTS Road connecting Wakad and Nasik Phata also passes through this area. To increase road connectivity between various parts of municipal limits, PCMC proposes to implement a 30-metre wide HCMTR. The first proposal states that land measuring 57,438.20 square metres has to be acquired in Pimple Saudagar village as per the development plan of the Pimpri- Township. The administration is planning to construct an alternative road in Pimple Saudagar to link with Sangvi-Kiwale Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) route. This alternative road will be 18 metres wide and will pass adjacent the defence land.

There are several well-known schools in Pimple Saudagar including P.K. International English School, Challenger Public School, Small s Pre- Schools and CMC Annasaheb Magar Secondary High School. There are also several hospitals and clinics in and around Pimple Saudagar. These include Samarth Hospital, Healing Touch Hospital, Shakti Hospital, Aditya Birla Health Store and Jadhav Clinic, among others.

Proximity to the IT Park has greatly enhanced the real estate market of Pimple Saudagar. From a huge land parcel, Pimple Saudagar has transformed into a preferred residential destination. Many prominent developers like Group, Bhojwani Homes, GK Developers, Mittal Brothers and Atul Enterprises have constructed high rise residential properties in Pimple Saudagar. SSD Group Sai Miracle, Bhojwani Homes Destiny, GK Developers Rose Woods, Mittal Brothers One Nation are some of the notable projects in the area. Average price of an apartment is Rs 5,499 per sq. ft. with unit sizes ranging from 571 sq. ft. to 2,641 sq. ft. A total of 21 projects are currently under construction and 7 are expected to get possession in 2014.
